Coach/Team Check-In

Coaches are required to check in before their teams play. Rosters will be provided upon check-in and should be kept through the duration of the tournament.

Schedule

Schedule will be posted the Tuesday prior to tournament weekend. Please do not email or call with schedule-related questions before then.

New Year’s Volleyball Bash

Occasionally, there are unavoidable changes that happen after the schedule is posted on Tuesday. It is best practice to check back the day before the tournament to ensure there have been no changes.

Tie-Breaking Protocol

Tie-breaking matches will not be played in this event. In the event of a tie in pool play, the tie will be broken based on head-to-head results (where two teams are tied for one position), set percentage or point percentage in that order. If any teams are still tied after comparing point percentage, a coin flip will break the tie.

Team Referee Obligations

Referee schedules are included in the pool assignments. With few exceptions, teams losing in bracket play on Sunday will ref the next match on that court. It is possible that your team will have to ref the match before you play, regardless of your match time. If you are scheduled to ref the match before you play, please be in place no later than 15 minutes prior to the start time.

Real-Time, Online Updates

Results will be continuously posted in real time on advancedeventsystems.com. Lastly, participants may wish to spare themselves the walk to the central desk at this and every AES-scheduled tournament thereafter by downloading the AES app. Simply go to the app store, search for aes xpress, and follow the prompts.

Parking

TK Volleyball Facility

Parking is available on-site at no cost. In addition to parking in the front of the facility, additional parking can be found at the highlighted locations below.

Trainers

A certified athletic trainer will be on-site for the duration of the tournament. Please bring your own tape (or other supplies) if you want them to wrap your ankles.

Chairs

TK Volleyball Facility

Bleacher seating and chairs will be provided. Outside chairs are also permitted.

Volleyballs

Teams must bring their own warm-up volleyballs and ball carts to the event.

Admissions

Spectators-including “chaperones” or “team reps”-whether rostered or not-will be charged $10 per day for admittance to the tournament. If you are planning on attending both days, you can purchase both a Saturday and Sunday pass at the same time. Players, coaches, and college coaches will be admitted without cost.

All wrist bands must be worn on the wrist in order to enter the facility.

Credit/Debit Card Only; no cash will be accepted.

Ages 10 and under will be admitted for free.

Hotel Accommodations

Artificial Noise

No speakers, radios, air horns, bells or the like will be permitted in the gym.

Food Tables/Concessions

There will be no concessions available on-site. There is a Publix within walking distance of the facility. Outside food is welcomed in the facility, but no coolers or food tables.
