Schedule

Schedule will be posted the Tuesday prior to tournament weekend. Please do not email or call with schedule-related questions before then.

Occasionally, there are unavoidable changes that happen after the schedule is posted on Tuesday. It is best practice to check back the day before the tournament to ensure there have been no changes.

Friday Night Check In

Early check-in is available from 5:30-7:30 pm on Friday, 1/24 at the MCC (tournament desk in the pre-function area). Friday night check in will only be available at MCC. Admissions will NOT be sold this evening.

Coaches Meeting

No coaches packet will be available. For information regarding the competition format, please click here.

Tie-Breaking Protocol

Tie-breaking matches will not be played in this event. In the event of a tie in pool play, the tie will be broken based on head-to-head results (where two teams are tied for one position), set percentage or point percentage in that order. If any teams are still tied after comparing point percentage, a coin flip will break the tie.

Team Referee Obligations

Referee schedules are included in the pool assignments. With few exceptions, teams losing in bracket play on Sunday will ref the next match on that court. It is possible that your team will have to ref the match before you play, regardless of your match time. If you are scheduled to ref the match before you play, please be in place no later than 15 minutes prior to the start time.

Parking

Montgomery Convention Center

On-site parking is available at Montgomery Convention Center. The rates are as follows:

  • $15/day

The venue is located in downtown Montgomery and there is plenty of parking off-site which may be more economical, but will require a short walk.

Loveless Academic Magnet Program (LAMP): free parking available on-site.

Park Crossing High School (PCHS): free parking available on-site.

Capital City Juniors (CCJ): free parking available on-site.

Trainers

A certified athletic trainer, will be on-site at the MCC location throughout the duration of the event. Please bring your own tape (or other supplies) if you want them to wrap your ankles.

Chairs

Montgomery Convention Center: Outside chairs are not permitted, seating will be provided.

Loveless Academic Magnet Program (LAMP): seating will be provided.

Park Crossing High School (PCHS): seating will be provided.

Capital City Juniors (CCJ): seating will be provided.

Volleyballs

Teams must bring their own warm-up volleyballs and ball carts to the event.

Admissions

Admissions will be located at the Bibb Street convention center entrance.

Admissions will open at 7am on Saturday and 6:00 am on Sunday at each location. These are also the times that the doors to each building will open.

Spectators-including “chaperones” or “team reps”-whether rostered or not-will be charged $15 per day for admittance to the tournament. If you are planning on attending both days, you can purchase both a Saturday and Sunday pass at the same time. Players, coaches, and college coaches will be admitted without cost.

All wrist bands must be worn on the wrist in order to enter the facility. If a spectator loses their wristband, they will be required to purchase a replacement wristband.

Credit/Debit Card Only; no cash will be accepted.

Ages 10 and under will be admitted for free.

Artificial Noise

No speakers, radios, air horns, bells or the like will be permitted in the gym.

Montgomery Convention Center

Concessions will not be available on-site. OUTSIDE FOOD IS WELCOMED AND ENCOURAGED! However, NO COOLERS will be permitted in the competition halls. There are several options close to the Montgomery Convention Center-check them out!

Loveless Academic Magnet Program (LAMP): concessions will be available on-site. Outside food and beverage is permitted.

Park Crossing High School (PCHS): concessions will be available on-site. Outside food and beverage is permitted.

Capital City Juniors (CCJ): food and beverage is permitted.
