Format –– We will offer an “A” Division and a “B” Division in this, the closest cousin to a legitimate Georgia State Middle School Championship Tournament. Teams will be organized into pools of four, the results of which will be used to seed single elimination bracket play.
Registration – To register, download this 2020 MS tourney registration form, complete it, and send it, along with your registration fee, to the address shown on the form. If you are not in a position to provide your registration fee, please notify Briana Johnson and we will be happy to work with you. This tournament has a habit of filling early, so we encourage you to reserve your slot(s) right away.
Schedule – will be emailed to coaches and posted on this website not later than the Tuesday prior to the event.
The “A” Division will compete at Southern Volleyball Center; the “B” Division at a nearby, to-be-announced High School.
There will be no coaches meeting. Rather, we ask that coaches:
- Check in at the tournament desk upon their arrival
- Download and read the to-be-posted Coaches Packet, which takes the place of a coaches meeting.
We have no on-site concessions. We will provide enough tables for each team to use 1/2 table for food inside SVC. Please do not bring your own tables into SVC, as we do not have room for them. Please also refrain from bringing crock pots or other heating devices that require electrical service.
If you desire more space and weather permits, tailgating outside is permitted and encouraged. If you avail yourselves of this option, please set up your tents in the grassy area in front and to the side of the building — NOT in the parking field and certainly not in front of our neighbors’ vehicles.
Food tables are permitted at Woodstock but you will need to bring your own tables.
Children under 10 are admitted free. All others will need to pay a $5/person entrance fee.
There should be sufficient parking on site for those competing at SVC. If the front lot is full, there is room — along with a second entrance — to the rear of the building. We have an overflow alternatives in the event that ours is full — across Hembree Road in the Alpharetta Public Works Building. Please do NOT park in the lot across the street serving AT&T, and do NOT park on the grass, in a reserved spot, or in a handicap spot (unless you display the proper credential), as violators will be towed.
If you have questions in the meantime, please contact Briana.
