Icebreaker — February 1 – 2, 2020

2020 marks the 10th running of what has become one of the Southern Region’s most popular events.

Registration — is open; will close two weeks prior to the event

Cost — $445/team

Waves–   we provide the following tentative wave schedule to facilitate hotel arrangements for teams traveling from out of town.  Please check back the week prior to the tournament as sometimes plans must change.

  • 12C                       a.m. & p.m. waves
  • 14C                       p.m. wave
  • 14P/15C              p.m. wave
  • 16C/16P              p.m. wave
  • 18C                       a.m. wave
  • 18P                       a.m. wave

Schedule — Will be posted on Advanced Event Systems not later than the Tuesday prior to the tournament.

Coaches Meeting – There will be no coaches meeting at this tournament.  Rather, we welcome you to upload and review the coaches packet. We’ll also have hard copies on hand to give to coaches upon check-in.  This packet contains a detailed description of each division’s format, along with information that will be of use for all tournament participants and spectators.

Admission

Spectators–including “chaperones” or “team reps” — whether rostered or not–will be charged $7/day or $10 for a weekend pass for admittance to the tournament.  Players, coaches and college coaches will be admitted without cost.

Artificial Noise — Please do not bring boom boxes, air horns, bells or the like into the gym.

Food Tables

Are not allowed at SSA.  You may bring food into the premises if you like, but the chairs and tables are for SSA concession customers.

    Yes; unlike previous years, icebreaker is open to power and club teams from inside and outside the region. our hope/expectation is that the tournament will be more competitive as a result.

    We just posted the waves. While there is a small chance that they will change between now and when we finalize the schedule, i would consider them 90% (+) accurate.
